Internship - Animation & Game Storyboarders
DMMSI is looking to upgrade education to the 21st century. How would you have like to learn during your days of K-12 schooling? We are looking for innovative individuals who are creative and can think outside of the box. Our ideal candidate writes stories with interesting characters and compelling narratives, is able to follow the established style and tone for our educational content. We need individuals who can write from a variety of perspectives who has the ability to take educational curriculum and turn it into an animation or game. Additionally, candidates should be able to receive frequent feedback, adapt writing to meet requirements, and consistently meet tight deadlines.
Type: Part Time 1099 Contractor
Salary: $25.00 per hour - 20 hours a week

Contract: 3-5 Years
Working closely with curriculum designers to turn curriculum into engaging games and animations
Create story treatments and pitch scene ideas, write dialogue, and consult client’s design team to perfect character images and game / animation environments.
Required Skills and Experience
An education in creative writing or script writing; Courses concentrating on fiction, conventions of storytelling, literature, and narrative voice are especially useful.
A portfolio of compelling writing samples, excellent editing skills, and a firm understanding of the foundations of story can pursue a career as a game writer.
Typically this position will require at least one-two years of professional writing experience.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by any applicant to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, this position is regularly required to communicate with and receive communications from DMMSI interns, contractors, employees, and vendors/clients in real time using online and other electronic media.
Location: Pasadena/Azusa Area.
