Design Specialist
The ideal, experienced Design Specialist is creative, self-motivated and able to respond quickly to multiple project’s needs. They will work closely with the Curriculum Development Team and will be responsible for the development of innovative content. Development should incorporate mixed motion graphics, medias and sounds, with modern design standards. The ideal candidate has a strong level of creative design skills and technical knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with DMMSI’s Curriculum Development Team to build our scenarios based on their curriculum
Train and work with curriculum design team to help them come up with storyboards for engaging and interactive resources to meet client and curriculum needs such as images, graphics, 360 videos, 2D/3D animations, audios, and other multimedia formats.
Train and work with curriculum design team to help them come up with storyboards for WebVR Rooms
Train and work with curriculum design team to help them come up with storyboards for gamification
Produce content in various formats, using Adobe Suite and other relevant multimedia tools.
Deep understanding of technology (audio to video) from recording to editing.
Actively identify opportunities and new technologies to improve, develop and maintain content.
Attend both internal and external meetings with Curriculum development team to consult on project goals and requirements to create innovative materials.
Experience/skills:
Proficient with at least one major 3D package like 3DS Max (preferred), Maya, or Modo
Proficient at 3D sculpting, retopologizing, UV & texturing assets from reference or concept art
Ability to create both high and low poly models, rip clean normal maps from high poly assets
Solid understanding of UV layout for efficient texture usage and light-maps
Solid knowledge of PBR material authoring tools (Substance Painter or Quixel Suite)
Experience with polygonal optimization and LOD creation
Experience with asset pipeline, integrating 3D models, textures etc. into Unity 3D
Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a proactive nature
Ability to work in a team and to integrate director feedback quickly
Flexible to changes in production and able to shift focus between a range of tasks
Ability to manage multiple projects.
Solid technical knowledge of multimedia tools (graphic and video, VR and AR, 360 videos, etc.).
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
Basic HTML/CSS coding is a plus.
Any experience creating content for VR
UX/UI skills for VR/AR a plus!
Scripting experience in JavaScript, C#, or LUA
Digital sculpting using ZBrush or Mudbox
Rigging and animation skills in Maya or Motionbuilder
Unreal Engine, Steam Workshop or Source2 experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
