DMMSI is taking on a new project to update education to the 21st century. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Educational Game Developers to support our curriculum developer.
Type: Full Time 1099 Contractor
Salary: $62,375.00 a year

Responsibilities
Train and work with curriculum design team to help them come up with storyboards for engaging and interactive games based upon curriculum written.
Writing code to turn the designer’s concepts into a playable game
Creation game framework features
Create multiplayer games (Turn Based & Real time).
Develop of cross-browsers and multi-platform games using HTML5
Internal review of software components and systems
Expanding your knowledge to a team (maintain cutting-edge knowledge of current and emerging technologies, industry trends/standards, modern web browser capabilities, compatibility issues and etc.)
Development of cross-browsers games using HTML5
Required Skills
Knowledge of HTML5 / CSS3 features
Experience creating HTML5 applications; bonus for experience developing HTML5 games
Experienced with HTML5-based APIs, such as using web audio API
Basic knowledge on LMS, API and Backend Integration
Knowledge of WebGL
Expert with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery; bonus if you know createJS suite
Experience analyzing the performance of Javascript code and optimizing for various mobile devices
Experienced with responsive design
Experienced with JSON data
Well versed using CSS in responsive design; bonus for knowledge of LESS and Sass
Comfortable using git version control
Working knowledge of PHP and MySQL
Experience working with web framework; bonus for knowledge of Yii PHP framework
Team-player who can work independently and flexibly
Creative problem solvers who value nuances in game programming
Strong analytical frame of mind
Passion for video game programming; a plus
Knowledge of any other OO language
Our client technologies: TypeScript, HTML5, WebGL, Git
HTML5 game frameworks (such as: Pixi.js, Phaser)
Knowledge on developing games using Construct 2, Adobe Animate CC, Cocos2D X
Knowledge of Unity3D is an added advantage.
Experience working on AR games
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by any applicant to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, this position is regularly required to communicate with and receive communications from DMMSI interns, contractors, employees, and vendors/clients in real time using online and other electronic media.
Location: Pasadena/Azusa Area.
